Special Advancement Classes

Ｆ・Ｅ・Ｓ　特訓クラス

At FES we have special classes to help our students advance in their English conversation and to work on their weak areas.  These classes are special because we select entrance on three factors.

当教室には特訓クラスがあり生徒さんの会話力及び苦手な部分の克服を目指し更なるレベルの向上を目指します。特訓クラスの入会にはいくつかの基準をもうけています。

1. Students in this class must participate in at least on other regular lesson throughout the week.
2. Students have to show that they have a certain level of study habits.  That is they have to bring their materials (notebooks, pencils, erasers) to every class and have them ready for instruction.  Students who are lazy or forgetful will not only slow the others down, they will have a hard time keeping up with the class.
3. Students have to have at least six months of regular instruction at the time of their application.  There may be a waver for this based on class size and consideration of the other two criteria. 

１．   週１回教室及び出張クラスでレッスンを受けている生徒さんが対象です。

２．   特訓クラスはレッスンの内容が普通のクラスに比べて難しくなります。指導する上で基本的な内容が理解でき、学ぶ姿勢が準備できている生徒さんが対象です。

３．   申し込みから６ヶ月間レッスンを受講すること。これらの基本的なことは多少変わる事もありますが他の基準も考慮に入れながら入会を決めていきます。

The course is six months long and we run two cycles a year.  The cycles are March to August and September to February.  Normally the top three students advance to the next level, but only if they have met the below criteria.

特訓クラスは６ヶ月ごとにクラスを編成します。前期が３月から８月で後期が９月から２月となります。上位３名が次のクラスへ進級しますが必ずしもそうとは限りません。

Beginner level is an introductory course which aims at improving overall test Grade 5 by the end of this course.  Normally students will stay at this level for about two or three cycles.

初級クラス

このコースを終了するまでに英検５級レベルの実力をつけます。多くの生徒さんは２、３回このコースを履修します。

Intermediate level is a much more intensive course.  From this level on students are expected to converse with the instructor in English only and use the language they have been taught.  Emphasis is on passing STEP test Grade 4.  Students usually stay at this level for the longest period.  There is a considerable jump from STEP 4 to STEP 3.

中級クラス

このコースはさらに集中的にレッスンをおこないます。このコースからは授業は英語だけで行われます。生徒さんは学んだ言葉を使わなければなりません。重視することは英検４級に受かることです。多くの生徒さんが長い期間このコースで学びます。このコースは４級から３級へ進む上で重要です。

Intermediate A level is a vocabulary based program where students learn about twelve new words in context a week.  Emphasis is on passing STEP test Grade 3.

中級Aクラス

このコースは語彙を基本に、１週間で１２の新しい単語を学びその単語を使って文を作成します。重視することは英検３級に受かることです。

Intermediate B level is an afternoon course and it focuses on vocabulary and idiom phrases.  Emphasis is on passing STEP test Grade Pre-2.

中級Bクラス

このコースは午前と午後にレッスンがあります。語彙と熟語を中心に学びます。重視することは英検準２級に受かることです。

Intermediate C level is also in the afternoon with a wide range of ages.  Students do both vocabulary and listening exercises that help build

中級Cクラス

このコースは午後にあります。学年もさまざまです。生徒さんは語彙と聞き取りの両方を練習します。そうすることで全体的な英語の上達を築き上げていきます。

Advance level is for students who have passed the STEP 2 test.  Emphasis for this class is on passing the STEP test Grade Pre-1.   

このコースはすでに英検２級に合格している生徒さんが対象です。重視することは、英検準１級に合格することです。

Advance A level is for students interested in passing the STEP test Grade 1 test.

上級Aクラス

このコースは英検準１級に合格している生徒さんで１級合格に興味がある方が対象です。

Advance B level is for students studying the TOEFL/ TOEIC test.  Students will need to speak English fluently and be able to articulate their opinions using university level dialog. 

上級Bクラス

このコースはトーフル、トーイックを学びます。生徒さんは英語を流暢に話し、また大学レベルの対話ではっきりと意見を表現できることが必要です

Advance C level is for students who want to continue their education beyond the university level.  It is comparable to North American graduate level courses.

上級Cクラス

このコースは大学レベル以上の教育を継続していく生徒さんが対象です。大学院レベルの内容も含まれます。
